Natural dyes captivated me with their colour and the satisfaction I get from working with this medium, holds my attention. Natural dyes have had a profound impact on my personal and creative growth, allowing me to be more a part of the pieces I create and connecting me with history, culture and with myself.
My curiosity in science pushed me towards a career in nursing, but compelled by a need to create with my hands I was pulled towards craft and working with natural dyes. Patterned Goods Co. is the convergence of my love of science and craft. I am drawn to the process of textile production and using these textiles for handmade goods. I continually play with materials to discover new things and grow as a maker. I invite you to come along as I explore pigments, colours, fibres, and the objects I create by combining them together.
