Naturally Dyed, Handmade, Striped Canvas Tote
The front exterior of this tote is made from naturally dyed linen and cotton fabrics. The back and interior lining is unbleached canvas. Marigold, cochineal, iron and indigo were used to achieve the yellow, pink, grey and blue. The binding around the top was hand stitched on. All the seams have been reinforced and finished with striped bias tape. The leather straps are veg tan and cut to be 3/4” wide. The edges are burnished; Neatsfoot Oil has been used to condition the leather. The bag measures 17 1/2” long and 16 3/4” wide. The straps are 13” long starting from the top of the tote. The straps have been secured to the bag with brass Chicago screws.
