Naturally Dyed Quilted Hourglass Tote

CA$350.00
sold out

This tote is machine pieced and hand quilted. The exterior layer fabrics are cotton and linen, the batting is wool and the lining is a heavy weight cotton canvas. The hand stitching was done with Sashiko thread. The hourglass blocks were made from fabric dyed with indigo, fustic and cutch.

There is a generous sized pocket, sectioned and big enough to fit a current iPhone and a pair of sunglasses.

The leather straps are veg tan leather that I’ve treated with Neatsfoot Oil. I have also burnished the edges. The straps are attached to the bag with brass Chicago screws.

The seams are reinforced with a second row of stitching. The bag itself measures 15 1/2” x 15 1/2”. The straps, starting from the top of the bag, measure 14 1/2”.
